I just found this website this morning and didn't see any hits in my search of VA.

Check out the Needle Drop software. It does the software RIAA but also gives you many alternative eq curves, noise reduction software etc.

Using the software requires using a flat gain stage with no hardware eq. Easy enough. there are plenty of ways to do that, including their own sister companies offering.

Something I've never seen but have always wondered about they also do. Their Phlux cartridges are moving magnet cartridges of their design but are seemingly unique in that they have the phono preamp integrated to the cartridge. It does not look all that heavy. Electrically, as they state, this removes some of the most glaring drawbacks to using a moving magnet cartridge.

Anybody heard this stuff? It might be good.
