I had a Dyna PAS 2 and a McIntosh MA 5100, but cannot find them in a relatively small garage storage area. Suppose I need to be more thorough.
I am trying to set up one of my old systems in a bedroom. When I retired in 2015, I brought my office system home, now donated much of it to my friend.
Frustrating, can't find the gear above. Have sources (DVD and DVD/VCR), an old Dyna tuner stereo, needs realignment, and a mint Hafler XL 280 amp plus the speakers and stands.
Would you recommend a cheaper (under $200) SS preamp or even tubed one?
Don't need phono presently.
If everything else fails, I will remove my Roksan Kandy III integrated in the main system as a phono and preamp, use it upstairs and buy a new phono preamp.
