Say "Yes" to YES!

Just my list of the Yes LP's that are 'keepers:'

"The Yes Album" - Tony Kaye's jazzy keyboards make this a classic!
"90125" - buy the ridiculously overpriced SACD, it's good.
"Going For The One"
"Closer To The Edge"
and one compilation "Classic Yes"- 1981. (Just because I found a minty copy in a stall in Barcelona.)

I really liked "Big Generator" when it came out but it didn't pass the test of time; not sure why. I played it LOUD on a huge system I had then; it's a hard-rocker *made loud to be played loud* as they say. I have a lossless copy.

You may note my (deliberate) exclusion of Relayer, Tales from Topographic Oceans, Drama and Tormato. These later albums seemed overblown to me, complex musically but not satisfying to this Bear's ears. Sold those...

I love Chris Squire's playing- he's a certified bass god. Check out Bill Bruford's solo and Earthworks stuff; solid fusion jazz especially with Tony Levin. Rick Wakeman's solo stuff? Not in my cave.
