You can practice aligning your cartridge with the old stylus installed. Once you get it perfectly aligned, you can switch to the new stylus. The new stylus will be identical to the old one so it will not be necessary to realign your cartridge after installing the new stylus. Just make sure you seat the new stylus fully into the cartridge body. You might want to practice removing and reinstalling the old stylus to gain familiarity with the process. Next, align the cartridge with the old stylus in place. Finally, remove the old stylus and install the new one.
