RE: Very cool!

I would be a little concerned that some of the structural components might not be jam-up tight and may exhibit structural resonances and buzz or rattle in a loud sound field. You might want to take a test disc like the Stereophile CD ones or- my fave -David Ranada's "Music Surround Spectacular - The Tests" and play the subwoofer test tones REAL LOUD and see if anything rattles.

I would also consider using the considerable mass of the scissorjack to become, in effect, a tuned mass damper isolating stray vibration depending on the desired effect on your turntable. You could try coupling the 'table to the stand and isolating the stand from the floor, which actually is pretty hard. Other way: I put my DD turntable on a marble slab and isolated the slab from the supporting stand using cheap imitation Mapleshade pads. That would work too. That stand has capacity of tons.
