RE: 1951 was pre-RIAA...Which Phono EQ did u use ?

I appreciate your premise, b.t over the years I've come across very few amps that allow one to change curves. I have a b.autiful comb. EAR 834L and 834P and can't justifying scrapping it for something else.

As for old pressings.......I have at least 500-600 monos pressed b.tween 1948 through 1956.....many more pressings from 1957 on. I have one of the largest collection of very early DDG 10 and 12''b.ue tape era vinyl out there......pressed b.tween 1950-53. The music sounds sub.ime and a joy to listen to. If I'm misguided or unaware of possib.e sonic improvements, I can live with it.

I realize you're quite correct.

Regards, Tom B.
