In theory that's a perfect cart/stylus for the 50H. I suspect it's the record, as you indicate, or perhaps the stylus is worn. There are some cheap, yet decent Pickering aftermarkets if you wanted to go that route. I believe some retailers like Voice Of Music still carries a few originals, too.
My table runs a little fast, but not so much that it's noticeable, at least to me. I listen to a lot of piano music and warbling isn't an issue. I've had my table for several years, and it's a keeper. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Or my Lab 80, for that matter.
