There's nothing new here compared to the presses in operation at QRP. I've seen the QRP presses in operation and gotten the guided tour by the plant manager. The QRP presses are all rebuilt from the ground up to incorporate exactly the kinds of sensors and process controls mentioned in the linked article. The really good news in the story is that you can buy one of these brand new and ready to go, and not have to source some pile of junk that might need months and months of machining and rebuild work before it can be put into production.
