Plan your retirement- with LP's and music

This year I passed a milestone (not a kidney stone, but the day is young...) -- having been retired for 7 years. (A milestone because the average American middleclass white-guy dies 7 years after retiring.) I'm still kicking it, thanks in some small part to my record collection.

Bearette and I have been so fortunate as to have lived on our boat, travel a lot in Europe, and have a ton of fun. I had it *sorta* planned-- the plan included listening to a lot of music here and abroad and collecting a lot of records, ditto. I'm still sorting and listening, for the first time, to the accumulated stack of 800-900 LPs on the big shelf in the hall. This has been one of the best hobby things in the world-- every record is "new" until you hear it the first time. I get through about 100 of these new records a year in addition to selling/gifting the same amount, thinning the herd.

Maybe I'm just easily amused by the spinning, shiny black discs, but I say "Some day" is here, and it's cool.
