Trust me, if Parasound made a regenerator they'd recommend you use one. IMO, regenerators ARE a good thing. What you didn't mention is exactly when the fuse blows. If it happens upon power up, I suspect the the fast blow you were using could not take that instantaneous in-rush of current that happens with the amp. Slow blow should fix that.
