It was at the Starlight Bowl, in San Diego's Balboa Park. Running Scared was epic, and the crowd was on their feet at the conclusion. The band started up again and he repeated the coda, and just as he was singing the final "walked away with me" line a plane flew overhead (the venue is right in our airport's flight path, probably why they don't do shows there anymore). Roy's final "me" drowned out the plane.

Still get goosebumps thinking about it. Roy was the greatest.
