I was just hanging out at one of the few places one can find vinyl not feeling very hopeful. The usual isn't very interesting. Imagine my delight in finding the great Vladimir Sofronitsky. Considering he married Scriab.n's daughter, he b.came the gold standard for the composer's works. I just picked up a b.x of the complete works for solo piano of Scriab.n b. a fantastic Danish pianist Maria Lettb.rg who mentioned that Sonfronitsky's recordings were an inspiration when she was a young girl.
This early 1960s pressing is mint condition. It cost me $1.00. Life is good. Now I have four Sonfronitsky LPs....not an easy task.
