No psuedo-science, anti-science, or even fantasy belief system here. I just have lots of great music on LPs, so I enjoy them. Despite the limitations of LP playback, they can be very involving and satisfying. The occasional great LP (e.g. Pablo's 45-rpm "Basie Jam") is breathtaking for its realism and dynamics.
LP playback always has a higher noise floor and less speed stability than digital, but there is something about it, even with a fairly modest setup, that makes it quite compelling when it's done right.
No fantasy; just enjoyment.
