Undoubtedly good advice and cap change would happen if/when it gets put into service.
It actually plays records just fine and sounds great as long as they are 33.3 rpm.
The thing that attracted me was not necessarily the motor drive, though it seems adequate, it's this "magnefloat" levitated platter deal that fascinates me. That stuff's all working well enough to get itplaying at least.
It's this so called "electro touch" 33 rpm selector control button that seems to be the problem.
I didn't even realize there was this kind of touch sensing controls back when this thing must have been designed. I'll be interested to investigate this.
Probably notworth it if I have to mail it off for service. If it's something simple like a blown discrete transistor, I'll likely solve the problems.
I just find it odd I can't seem to find any evidence of the service manual even existing. You know schematics exist out there somewhere.
I'm not all too worried about it as the arm is worth more than I paid for the whole thing. Though I have high confidence I'll get it working.
