Three years ago, I installed the Hercules II in my Linn Axis. The original had been destroyed twice by a power line spike and I wasn't about to spend money to fix it again.

Installing the Hercules was fairly straightforward and took perhaps two to three hours. I only checked the speed with a strobe but it was spot on.

The sound was somehow fuller, there was more "there" there. Bass had slightly more impact but was in no way boomy.

I'm a happy camper. There's another advantage in that, unlike the original Linn PSU, the Hercules does not turn the motor on when the power returns after a power failure.
