RE: San Diego Record Stores

My favorites:

Record City-on 6th Avenue in the Hillcrest neighborhood, close to Balboa Park. Store manager Graham is a good guy and prices his used vinyl fairly. Good selection of new vinyl.

Cow Records-2 locations, one in Ocean Beach on Newport Avenue close to the O.B. pier and another on Garnet in Pacific Beach. Both have an excellent selection of new vinyl. The O.B. neighborhood is a fun place to visit, our version of Haight-Ashbury. Grab either a burger at Hodad's or some fish tacos at South Beach bar and grill while you're down there.

Lou's Records in Encinitas used to be my favorite but it's gone downhill and seems to be just barely hanging on. M-theory on University has an excellent new vinyl section, used is sketchy and overpriced, IMO. Off the Record on University Ave in North Park is a pretty good one. Feelit on E St downtown is a small store but I've found a couple of gems there and the owner is a nice guy.
