For me the reference for the Goldb.rg Variations is ol Glenn Gould.....b.th recordings. I seem to have more than my fair share of Goldb.rg Variations, b.th on piano as well as Harpsichord, on my external hard drives! My favorite harpsichord recording is b. Masaaki Suzuki. I don't how he does it, b.t he gets that instrument swinging somehow with a great rhythm. As far as pianists.....Serkin, Schiff, and a guitarist Kurt Rodammer. Kurt actually came to my place to check out SET technology. He gave me a free copy of his Sony recording.....very cool !
