RE: new Led Zeppelin I, II and III reissues by Jimmy Page

Hopefully you saw them when they weren't totally out of it. I saw them at the Stadium in Chicago back in the mid-late 70's or so. Jimmy was so wasted that he couldn't not even stand up. They cancelled the show after 2 songs! They promised an "all request show" to make up for it later that summer but Plant's son died so the tour was cancelled. Very sad.

If you watch the DVD from 2003 you can easily see how strong they started out and by time they made the "Song Remains the Same" movie drugs and boozing had really taken ahold of them but they seemed to have recovered towards the end of their career as a band. I grew-up with some great rock bands of the 70's and Zep is still my favorite. Just tellin it as I see.

If you live in the midwest there is an excellent Led Zep cover band that plays around Chicago just about every other month. They are very tight and play with a ton of passion. The lead guitarist is excellent, one of the best I've seen. They dress-up like the band too. There is not a person that I brought to see them that was not blown away by them. By time the show is over you are completely exhausted! The band is Kashmir and I see them a couple of times a year for my Led Zep fix.
