Welcome Licorice Pizza (LP) lovers! Setup guides and Vinyl FAQ.

Spent an enjoyable 2 hours auditioning Rega with an audiophile buddy's son last Sat.

We went in to hear the RP3 at a local dealer (Stereo Design in San Diego), they didn't have one in stock but they did have an RP40 special edition table (an upgraded RP3 with better feet, the outboard power supply and a white body version of the Elys cartridge) so we settled in with a stack of records (Steely Dan, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Dan Hicks). His current table is one of those AT direct drive models and the deficiencies were getting more obvious as he upgraded the rest of his system. I hadn't seriously listened to a Rega before and I was really impressed-excellent drive, pitch stability, balance--really a great all-rounder and a pleasure to use (we both agreed the ability to change speed on the PS was a cool feature, especially with all these new 45 rpm editions coming out). Needless to say, they gave him a nice deal on the demo model and he's now a happy Rega owner.
