RE: How about a list of noteworthy Record Stores in your life? I'll start

I have to start with Tower Records-it was a sad day when the Sports Arena store in San Diego shut its doors.

I've been going to Lou's Records in Encinitas, CAfor years (still hanging on, but scaled back dramatically and not nearly what it used to be). I lived in Encinitas in the late 80's/early 90's and I used to hit Lou's almost every Sarurday-nearly everyone was moving to CD's and I was constantly finding gems in the bins, everything from a mint German Odeon Magical Mystery tour to original Simon and Garfunkel pressings.

Amoeba on Sunset in L.A. Is probably the only record store left where I still get that that old school "wow, look at all of these records" rush.

My wife is from Toronto, and our first trip back after we were married I spent an entire afternoon in Sam the Record Man on Yonge Street.
