since my original post on the TabFSF LP i have switched back to my better phono preamp - made a diff. in cleaning up the sound a bit. there was also discussion in another thread on how dependent the shape of the stylus tipis on how a record sounds. i have no idea what sytlus tip design my cart has or if its optmimum for this record.

just as with most things audio - how something sounds to us is dependent on so many factors (room, component synergies, speaker placement, personal preference etc etc) that we should resists reaching conclusions based on the experiences of others.

there is no substitute for listening to the thing in question (LP or component or tube, etc) ourselves and making our judgment thru experience instead of what someone else thinks about that thing.

we probably agree that TabFSM has some really excellent songs on it.
