Think I got it solved.
I've always heard Rega & Linn like a light rigid mount.
Well not here anyway, so I decided to go the other direction.

First, I took an unused sheet of Dynamat and applied it between the shelf & the wall. Stuck the remainder on other areas of the metal Target shelf frame that seemed prone to ringing. Don't know if it helps, but it probably can't hurt.

Got a 2" thick butcher block from Bed Bath & Beyond.
Took the stock thin wood Target shelf off the frame.
Put some of Herbies Cone/Spike Isolation Bases on the upward facing shelf screws (Blu-tac held them in place) Put dome Herbies Grungebuster dots on top of the bases, and sat the butcher block on that.

Cranked it up......
