There are but Four Small Faces RSD LP - sound

there are but four small faces is a classic brit pop/psych lp - their best imho. i was excited to get the modern repress as part of RSD today. the music delivers - many great songs and some good songs -lots of memorable ones. however, the sound has brittle and sharp edges. the lp delivers the essence of the music, and decent space and separation. i have not heard a non-beat up LP version of this in decades. i wonder if it was just recorded in this way and re-mastering can't fix it.

i would like to hear this music in rich, deep non-fatiguing sound. maybe thats just not possible given the recording?

can anyone comment on the sound of previous LP pressings of TabFSM?
