John you hit the nail on the head. I forgot the simplicity that this table brings with it. There is no alignment. The head shell follows Baerwald, so I never have to worry about whether I need to tweak with alignment because there is only one way to install the cart. Other than anti-skate(which I don't use) and vtf there is nothing else to worry about. I suppose if necessary I could play with arm height but that's about it. And I love that. It's not that the Scoutmaster requires any kind of regular tweaking, but this seems so much simpler. And I do think there is something about these older Shure carts that are magical as well.
