pink floyd's more LP side A vs side B levels

after digging the pink floyd obscured by clouds soundtrack LP so much, i put a special order in at to have the record store notify me when the more soundtrack LP came in. today was the day. excellent album, tho imho not as great as obscured by clouds.

anyway, when i put on side A it played much quieter than other LPs. side B however plays much louder. this difference is not subtle. i would guess that side A is about half as loud as side B and as most normal records.

has anyone else experienced this, either with More or with another lp?
