Re: "Listener" complaint below - not limited to mags! (long but kinda funny & sad)

Unfortunately defamation & idiocy is not limited to mags or their subscription services. The following episode is still fresh in my mind so I need a venue to share & vent. The following are email exchanges between myself & a certain internet entrepeneur, goes by company name that sounds a bit like "Sound Euphorium". I had emailed him regarding a price for an Earmax headphone amp. Price in response was nothing special & I was leaning towards another amp (which I purchased) anyway. So I just let it go. S.E. resent the exact email 3 more times & then finally sent this:
S.E. - Offer expired. Thanks for making it simple by your lack of action or integrity.

I'm sure we've all emailed for pricing & other product info. Has anyone ever received an insulting & completely inappropriate response like this? Well, I felt I needed to answer this individual & the rest of the email exchanges went like this (cut 'n pastes of the exact emails).
Me: Integrity? Because I chose not to make a purchase at this time? It's quite apparent I made the correct choice. Good business. Alienate a potential customer forever.
S.E.: After reviewing Suzanne's repeated emails, it was my decision and vocabulary that you FINALLY responded to. As a result, I accept FULL RESPONSIBILITY for terminating YOUR opportunity to do business with us.

Furthermore, I laugh at your adolescent struggle to relieve your infantile conscience, "Because I chose not to make a purchase at this time?" Not a single reply to repeated emails (including the first, 3 minutes after your initial email contact, and four others between 28 DEC and 8 JAN.) I suppose, in your world, everyone reads minds. WE DO NOT.

Simply stated, your FAILURE to respond in a timely and professional manner is clearly INDICATIVE of your FAILURE to accept RESPONSIBILITY for your ACTIONS or lack thereof. In a word, you are "UNACCOUNTABLE."

Me: Dear B. Robert Benson, Esq.
Attorney, Owner
The Sound Emporium

My apologies if I misunderstood that requesting an item price essentially compelled me to make a purchase to avoid incurring your wrath. Actually, the only reason I'm even bothering to respond to you now is an effort to exorcise my own incredulity at your pedantic diatribe. Do you always extend your lower lip and strike out when you fail to make a sale? Might I be so bold as to suggest your returning to the Law, where your demeanor - if not exactly acceptable - would be much less surprising. Finally, I do hope you can take comfort in the knowledge that I expect to recover shortly from the trauma of having been terminated as a customer of yours.

Cheers,
Jac Steinberger, MBA

S.E.: Once again, your adolescent aptitude is FULLY exposed. Who said anything about purchasing? You received our reply and then four follow-ups but not a single response. Again, UNACCOUNTABLE for your lack of action.

Looks like you've been reading - GOOD. Perhaps a book on conduct, responsibility and accountability would be advantageous considering the fledgling manner in which you communicate or do not communicate.

MBA, huh? HA Ha ha, HA Ha ha. In my day, most of the kids who failed electrical engineering, dropped into BA. Anyone could pass BA, they'd say. No surprise, really. Your "superior" intellect and business savvy were clearly demonstrated by your FAILURE to respond to Suzanne's emails.

Later CLOWN.

Me: "Once again, your adolescent aptitude is FULLY exposed."
Well, thanks for promoting me from infantile to adolescent. Much obliged.

"MBA, huh? HA Ha ha, HA Ha ha. In my day, most of the kids who failed electrical engineering, dropped into BA."
Once again I am profoundly humbled. I do defer to your superior choice of professions. This would explain, I suppose, your peddling headphones online. Pardon the pedestrian nomenclature, but I fear you are more than just annoying. You're whacko.

Pretty amazing that someone would conduct any kind of a business this way. Talk about gratuitous character attacks! Just wanted to share & I also think it important for us folk to be appraised of the various dealers who are out there. Caveat Emptor.
