Very clear

Thanks. What's interesting to me about this subject is given suitable output from other contributing power sources one may very well not need the type of output that so often is recommended for low output moving coil cartridges. I can easily set my phono pre to 42 or 48db and really good sound by compensating on my receiver(what most seem to recommend). Or, I can choose to set my phono at 54 or 60db or higher(what I have understood to be required of a .28mv cart) and again compensate by keeping the volume lower on the receiver(not seemingly recommended).

I know at the end of the day it's what sounds best to ME. But interesting hearing what others think.
