Bought mine new in '96. Retired it in '06. Nothing but issues from day 1, including having to take back for repair on day 2 for channel going out due to open tonearm wiring. The issues include speed control(fast), wobbly platter, will not play 45 rpm without dropping belt, arm gimble play, hum on most cartridges near end of play, weak lid hinges, and general sound inconsistancies. The 120.00 Sony ps-x50 I replaced it with is superior in every way. I transfered my Shure v-15 from the Sota and have yet to be disappointed.
