In our dry Alaska winter, I have to use the Zerostat after each play, or my mats(foam and paper types) stick to the record also. Like others, I also use the Zerostat after vacuuming with my Nitty Gritty machine.
We do have a humidifier in the house, but we only use it near the bedrooms. A humidifier near the record player would be a good solution also. Humidity was the basis for the old Watts Preener that used a moist wick in the interior of the record brush to reduce static electricity buildup.
