Yes, you need full concentration to work on the very delicate cartridge/stylus/wire assembly.Get the right tools - avoid the common needlenose metallic pliers and opt for the hi-grade non magnetic stainless steel or plastic prongs where you will have better control on the force exerted.
Agreed - an L shape allen wench is better as it has more leverage. I am unable to loosen some of the set screws with the supplied wench but am able to do so with an L shape wench.
