Don't you have it backwards? The longer arm would generate less skating force and therefore require less antiskating.
Skating force is related to the angle that the groove-tangent at the stylus makes with a line through the arm-pivot and stylus. The angle of the groove-tangent at the stylus decreases for longer arms and therefore skating force also decreases. As a result, the headshell offset angle decreases for longer arms, too.
