Well I had to leave something out for someone to ask about! The Delos in the 10.5i at 1.75gram tracked 6,7,8 cleaning with no buzzing whatsover. On band 9 it buzzed and ultimately skipped using only HW's "wire anti-skate". This morning, I added in the mechanical anti-skate and was able to get to to play all the way thru 9 with some moderate buzzing. Watching the needle drop mid-record with this level of anti-skate, however shows the cantilever being tweaked to the side when you raise and lower it out of the groove. I read this as too much anti-skate. With the wire only, the cantilever shows no sign of being "torqued" when raising/lowering. I realize this is not a scientific way of determining anti-skate, however Mr. Carr recommends it, and I have used it successfully for years. My experience with an SME V leads me to believe that all three of the carts would likely track even better in that arm. I am, however, totally happy with the sound of the arm/cart combo and it sounds terrific. I did an "all-nighter" last night and haven't stopped listening since setting up. Haven't done that in years... Put the Jensens back in for a couple of hours and confirmed that the Cinemags handle this cart a little better (and I am a Jensen fan). Can't get over how little surface noise I am getting but still have all the clean detail you could want. Sometimes surface noise and detail seem to be connected, not in this case. Will be interesting to see what others think, but my "read" is that this is a great cart and well worth its asking price.
