maybe 10-15 listening hours (I never did leave it to play unattended, perhaps a good idea though). Basically it starts out rather ragged sounding but then gets smoother. In my case the use of Focalpods (4x cheap squishies @4.00 each from Parts Connection) gives the sound more refinement without loss of the realism factor (which should be present from the get-go even with the ragged quality present).I had mine on audition for a weekend and was to ship back on the Monday. At first I was pretty certain I would send it back but by the Monday it had improved so much I was having serious reservations. I begged an extra day and by then knew it was for me.
Surprisingly after a longer delay (I really have no idea how long it was) the bass gets even better, kinda like just noticing ... damn good bass ... one day down the road.
It's never going to be suave and laid back however, a good thing IME.
Good luck, hope it turns out to your liking.
