When I was a member of the "Cartridge-of-the-Month" club, I got an AT440ML, checked it out physically but never mounted it; then an AT440MLa but never even opened the box on that one. At that point, I realized that I should quit digging as I felt that I was trying to re-drill Mohole!

Table #1:
Technics SL1600 MK2 slightly modded/unknown headshell/M97Xe swapped with table #2 when needed
Table #2"
Technics SL-1015 R&B series/Syntec S-220 arm/headshell/M97Xe swapped with table #1 when needed
Note that I still have the M-91ED; along with a box full of miscellaneous carts. The best might be a wood-bodied Grado
