Every material has resonances and colorations. I suspect this is especially true of wood arms. Part of the art of audio is picking your colorations, the ones that especially don't offend you. Unfortunately this really requires listening which would be an almost impossible trial to set up in this case. Next best is a review but only from a reviewer you've learned to trust over a period of time. I suspect, given reviews all versions of this arm are good albeit different. Good luck.
