Wow. Just pulled it out after a long time - exceptionally clean early pressing. Sparkling clarity and presence. Bite, attack and aggression on guitar-bass-drums are almost frightening. The soundstage on "Today" puts Balin's voice front-and-center of the odd sounds and voices way off in the back. Kind of reminds me of when I ... I ... well, I don't really remember. Psychedelic, man.Listened to it right after the Classic Records pressing of 'Aqualung.' Not even in the same league. I know the latter wasn't well-recorded to begin with, but it almost sounded like I'd replaced the cartridge with a new one between the two.
