How about a plinth-less Thorens TD-124?

After decades of using my 301 and TD124 in layered plywood plinths, lately I've been enjoying my TD124 on mushrooms + pipe fittings from Home Depot.

I'm getting an open baffle type of sound which is not necessarily better, but definitely refreshing. ;)
