I looked at all the styli under a 160-power metallurgical microscope. The only tip that I liked was the Audio Technica, which looked absolutely perfect in every respect including alignment. However, I didn’t look at any of them sitting in the groove.

I think the crosstalk difference has little to do with the stylus and nearly all to do with coil alignment in the generator, but I could be wrong.
