Please list the cartridges that are NOT tone controls.What I am trying to get at, if you will, is the fact that every transducer (speakers included) are in fact glorified tone controls. My own system was assembled based on the presumption of guilt: the amps (Classe DR-15's) alone were selected to balance the anomolies heard elsewhere.
Enter the room: mine is the most revealing acoustic; i.e., too much treble and not a lot of room for acoustical treatments (WAF). Not much room save for tone controls, passive or active.
