When released, it was slammed by critics and many Neil Young fans dislike it. I love it though. Young utilizes a vocoder, which distorts his voice significantly. So, it's a very strange effect and the lyrics are often unintelligible. In a fashion, he was way ahead of his time as now many vocalists rely on similar manipulations. The music has an upbeat and spacey feel to it, far removed from the gritty Rock of "Harvest" and other early LPs. Recommended if you like Neil Young and want to explore well beyond "Southern Man", etc...
