LP finds S. Montana (photos)

I had to travel up to the Billings, Montana area to look at a used hydraulic shop press, which I bought. I stopped in a small town antique shop east of Billings, another antique shop in Billings and a record store. The first 16 LPs shown below are from the record store, which had recently acquired a nice collection that included some UK and German press Prog Rock LPs, and some early 70s Jesus Rock, nice finds in exceptionally clean condition. The album with the colorful cover is the new 2015 New Order release, very good, highly recommended. Everything else was used. I was especially happy to find the "Alpha Centauri/Atem" Tangerine Dream and "Prologue" as I'd been looking for both for a very long time.

Comets On Fire is a 2004 Sub Pop release. A wild mix of Garage, Psych and Space Rock. The few vocals are little more than 'bad acid trip howling.' Earth And Fire is a Dutch Prog band, very good. Fever Tree is 60s Psych and although this is a repress on MCA, it's a beautiful sounding NM disc.

I gave both Heldon (upper right) and Joshua a spin last night. Heldon is electronica, very good, somewhat like Tangerine Dream. Joshua is an excellent Christian record, Hard Rock with Psych & fuzz guitar throughout.

New Order's "Music Complete" (upper right)is an excellent 2015 release. Much like their superb work from the 80's.

I already own "Cyclone" but could not pass up this beautiful NM/NM copy.

In terms of potential resale value the private label Joyce Carr LP is the high dollar record of the day. Ms. Carr is a Jazz vocalist, and with her ties to Montana, that's probably why I found this record.

Many may know me as "Cactus Cowboy" but my real name is Dave Rose. So of course I couldn't pass up the David Rose LP.
