I've got a Clearaudio Aurum Beta S on my Michell Gyro SE and Rega RB300 w/ Origin Live Structural and Wiring mods.Problem is, I've aligned the cartridge, but the stylus points slightly to the outside of the platter all the time. I just pulled it out of storage and seem to recall a slight amount of this but now it appears quite pronounced (about 8-10 degrees off of the centerline of the cartridge, I'd guess).
So - is this normal (doesn't seem like it, and I think the sound is a little off, but I'm not done setting it up), is there a way to fix it, is it damaging my LP's, and, finally, if replacement is the way to go, any recommendations for a good interim replacement in the sub-$200 range?
tia,
dave
