When I had my ART9 at....

1.68, by accident I notice a little of what you're talking about but once I set it at 1.72 all that was gone. Even better at 1.74-1.75g then that where I found that sweet spot when stepping through the VTA.

Like i said before in my post, It's a very small window between having that sweet spot and just having a nice sound to the cartridge. It's so small you can go right past it and not even now it. Hopefully it's just a good cleaning is all it needs.

What condition are the LP's in that you are playing? Could it be that something else is getting on the stylus?
