Hi Cougar.
For the past 19 months, until I started noticing issues, it sounded best at 1.7g with no desire to adjust it, not excessive at all. It still sounds great, as long as the content isn't challenging to track, between 1.7 - 1.8. I can get heavy sibilants to track pretty cleanly with the VTA tilted back a little and the VTF at 2.0, but there still is some hashy distortion when things get dense. It also is not nearly as engaging with those settings. I've stepped through the operating range of tracking force multiple times with varying combinations of angles over the past week, when I had time. Overall, I think I had it right from the start. The original settings sound great, but this is my 3rd AT with line contact/microline styli and I've gotten accustomed to being completely free of audible mistracking.
I really do appreciate the input!
Mark
