Hi John.
I was just replying to teenage diplomat, explaining that this is a recent occurrence. It has been performing beautifully for the last 800 or so hours. Even unraveling dense content toward the end of a side, it remained solid, no woofer pumping either. The initial set up, 19 months ago, was very straight forward. I've never felt the need to adjust anything. The linear air bearing arm on the Maplenoll is pretty easy to dial in, and the cartridge seemed to operate fine with it, but a (more) medium compliance would probably be a better match.
I might pull out some test records and do some measuring but I think that it may just be getting prematurely tired. I'm curious how long other ART7s have been in service. teenage diplomat has around 300 hours. How about you?
Thanks for your reply. Your advice is often educational & always interesting.
Mark
