I performed factory authorized service for AR in the '70s and '80s. We saw a lot of their products, including the entire turntable line. I never experienced any issues with test records on those turntables, nor did even one customer ever complain about an issue like this. Considering the large numbers of AR TTs that were sold, the problem being discussed here clearly lies with the LPs themselves, not the exact size of the AR spindle. I see this problem from time to time as well, and my TT is Denon.
