it would be SO much easier to add EQ controls on a preamp or integrated and then any user could easily adjust the 'entire system' including the source and room for anything that might sound deficient or excessive. Not many do that now. It's a conspiracy ;-^
Not so called perfection, but EQ on just the records is usually a small bit here or there, nothing major. It's usually the very top or bottom.
