If you happen to think of anything...

I'm certainly open to suggestions. If you, or anyone else, can think of suggestions to make this better, I'm all for it.

Talking about another generation, soon I'm going to rework the resistive load for the amps from 8.2 to 4 ohms. When I do that, I should re-configure the attenuation resistors (output from signal generator is too high). When I change the attenuation, I also change the amps input impedance. I should also change the DC blocking caps to match the change in impedance. I'm figuring a corner frequency, a decade below 60hz (6hz), in order to have a minimal phase shift.

I also have to do something about switching on the power, as already the on/off switch is just on all the time now. I guess the inrush on the start up of the supplies was too much for it. I thought the 10 amp rating would be plenty. I'm thinking I might install a thermistor or thermistors to ramp up the supplies more gently. Now I have to figure out how to spec thermistors for my application.

The power supplies have a standby mode, where they power up, but don't supply power to the main 54v dual rail supply, but do supply the 7.5v and 5v outputs. That way, I can wait for both the signal generator and the power supplies to ramp up, and stabilize, then energize the amps. I've been starting in standby mode, but guess the inrush current to the supplies is too high.

This project brings new meaning to the old quote from the I Ching, "perseverance furthers".
