Will putting new exotic racing tires on a 61 Studebaker with 150,000 miles on the drive train and suspension make it run or handle better? This is just an anecdote and not meant to demean your table/arm but meant to make you consider the situation.
I've always heard that the hierarchy of importance in the analog chain was table, arm and then cart. The idea is that the cart can't track what the arm won't let it and the arm can't track optimally on a table with vibrations. And even if the table is vibration free, what about the bearing and the motor speed stability?
Will the $800 cart make a difference? Probably so. But how much? And will it be producing at its finest?
Could the $800 be spent better in other places like a Better table? You'll have to be the judge there. But that is what I'd be looking at. The MMF-7 can be had for that and the sales price of your table easily.
