The site referenced is good and has good pictures but, amazingly for all the supposed detail, it doesn't even mention that there is a spring within the nose screw. Clean that screw good in mineral spirits and you will find a tiny spring within the hollowed out middle of the screw that serves as a tensioner. If it is caked with old gunk it can be difficult to tighten the nose screw in order to give proper stability to the motor shaft without tightening so much as to impede freedom of movement.
